In October, 2017, Ajoy "rocked" the stage at SAI's 2017 International Competition in Las Vegas. Our hard work paid off as Ajoy placed a very respectable 15th out of 33 competing choruses. We sang "In the Wee Small Hours" and "Rock This Town" during the Semi-Final Chorus Competition. Then took the stage for a very special rendion of "Higher and Higher" with the "Frenzy Family" to help them complete their year as the reigning 2017 International Queens of Harmony!

We thank Frenzy (especially the Ajoy half) of Nikki Blackmer and Judy Pozsgay, as well as Westcoast Harmony's director, Anne Downton, and CAL superstar tenor, Melissa Pope, for the opportunity to share the stage with them for a standing ovation to close out our trip to competition. 

Ajoy will take the stage at the 2017 International Competition in Las Vegas representing Region 13 as a Wild Card competitor!

Each year, the winning chorus in each region automatically qualifies to compete in the prestigious International Competition for the following year.  Then the 10 highest-scoring second place choruses are also invited to attend. In 2016, Alaska Sound Celebration qualified as the Region 13 winner with a score of 634 points and Ajoy qualified on points.

We are so proud of Frenzy!!! They were crowned 2017 Queens of Harmony at last week's Sweet Adelines International Quartet Contest in Las Vegas. 

Congratulations to Lead Nikki Blackmer (Ajoy's Master Director), Bass Judy Pozsgay (Ajoy member and coach), Baritone Anne Downton (Master Director of West Coast Harmony) and Tenor Melissa Pope (Chapter at Large). They get better and funnier every time they step on the stage! 

Congratulations to Frenzy for a terrific win and much-deserved Crowns!

Ajoy gathered at Seatac Monday afternoon to give our Frenzy "Queens of Harmony" a royal welcome home!  Judy Pozsgay and Nikki Blackmer were each greeted with their own special Welcome Song, lots of cheers, tears and hugs! (Some of us even got to try on Judy's crown!) 

Thanks to all who wrote lyrics and made letters for the occasion! Special shout out to Nancy Cornwell for coordinating things and for adding her brightly lit (of course!) Frenzy "F."

Congratulations, Frenzy! 

Congratulations to AJoy director, Nikki Blackmer, and the rest of Frenzy Quartet for placing SECOND in the WORLD at the SAI International Convention in Las Vegas on Friday, October 9, 2015 and for winning the MOST ENTERTAINING QUARTET TROPHY (to the surprise of absolutely no one!). Word from inside the venue is that their finals package inspired not one, but THREE, standing ovations. 

AJOY and the extended Region 13 (and 26) Frenzy family, want to extend our best wishes to Nikki Blackmer, Ann Marteniuk, Judy Pozsgay and Melissa Pope! Frenzy just keeps getting better and funnier every year. With their beautiful singing, their creative genius and their comedic timing, they are a hit every time they take the stage.
